to know.
Can I download Movie Scene yet?
Not yet. Movie Scene is an iPhone and iPad app in active development. Current development builds target iOS and iPadOS 18.6 or later; supported versions may change before launch. There is no public App Store or TestFlight download available on this site.
Can I watch movies in Movie Scene?
Movie Scene helps you discover and organize movies and TV shows. It isn’t a streaming service. Streaming preferences help narrow your choices; you watch through the services you use.
How is “Seen” different from a favorite?
Seen simply means you’ve watched it. Seen and Not Seen are mutually exclusive; your watchlist, favorites, Not Interested membership, and custom lists can coexist with either status. Want to Watch keeps the swipe card available so you can still say whether you’ve seen it.
What’s working, and what’s still coming?
The current app includes movie/TV discovery, search, independent library collections, custom lists, favorite people and filmographies, movie-night picks, and timestamped notes with a timeline. Optional accounts sync your library, lists, and services; private moment sync is a separate opt-in. Guest and registered-account deletion are implemented. Supported beta builds can test Plus without a real charge. Public community publishing, paid subscriptions, and the public release are not open yet.
Which streaming region is supported?
Current live availability is for the United States. Availability can change, and providers may require a separate subscription. Movie Scene does not stream movies or sell access to them.
Do I need an account?
You do not need to register an email account for free browsing. Guest discovery creates an identity for server swipe credits and choices while your guest library and notes stay on the device. An optional account syncs your library, lists, and services, and is required for Plus. Private moment sync is a separate opt-in. Learn about accounts and sync.
What happens when I use my free swipes?
Current builds start with 100 discovery credits. After those are used, 25 daily credits begin at the next midnight UTC. Your saved library, search, and personal notes stay available. Movie Scene+ adds unlimited discovery when verified access is active. Public paid subscriptions are not open yet; read about credits and beta testing.
