Public publishing is not open yet
Movie Scene’s public community is being prepared. These guidelines explain the intended standards for submissions in supported development builds and the future public community. Submitting a moment does not mean it is immediately published. Movie Scene is for ages 13 and older, subject to local age and permission requirements.
Talk about the film. Respect the person.
Disagreement is welcome; harassment, threats, hateful attacks, targeted humiliation, impersonation, and sharing someone’s personal information are not. Do not post sexual exploitation, illegal material, or instructions encouraging harm. Do not use the community for spam or deceptive promotions.
Give spoilers a timestamp
Use the correct movie and a useful timestamp or time range. Respect spoiler controls and avoid putting major revelations in your public display name. Content warnings are personal observations and can be incomplete; they are not a substitute for age ratings or your own judgment.
Sharing is your choice
You keep ownership of your original notes. When you choose to submit a public copy, you give Movie Scene permission to store, review, and display that copy for the community feature. That permission is limited to operating and moderating the feature and ends when the copy is removed, except for limited retention required by law or service backups.
Private sync never automatically publishes a note. Do not submit private information about yourself or others. Share your own writing and only material you have permission to use. Do not upload full movies, clips, or scripts through support as a substitute for sharing a written observation.
Review, removal & reporting
New submissions and edits require moderator review before publication. Content can be rejected or removed for violating these rules. In supported app builds, Your submissions shows status and moderator explanations; you can remove a submitted copy while keeping the original note.
When community features are available, use Report for a concerning post and Block to hide a member’s posts. You can also contact Movie Scene support. Include enough information to locate the post without repeating harmful or private material. For questions about a moderation decision, request a review by email. We do not promise a fixed response time.
